Rohatsu Sesshin is a retreat in commemoration of the Buddha’s Enlightenment. It is an opportunity to come together to support each other in deepening our practice as well as to collect body and mind.

Maps may give you a route to Quaker Center that directs you over remote mountain roads such as Bear Creek Road, Bonny Doon Road, and Skyline Boulevard. They are scenic routes, but winding and unlit. Taking Highway 9 is the simplest way to arrive. The only route to Quaker Center is on Hubbard Gulch Road from Highway 9. Quaker Center is not accessible from Alba Road. From Highway 9 turn onto Hubbard Road and follow signs for the Quaker Center. Please mind the private property signs and drive slowly.

ACCOMODATIONS

Dormitory style bunk-bed accommodations will be provided for up to 25 people. The Quaker Center provides a pillow and a single throw. Please bring your own linens for sleeping and showers. A sleeping bag may be the easiest option for many. Camping is also available on site. You will be asked about your accommodation preferences upon registration.

MEALS

Vegetarian meals will be provided starting with dinner on Wednesday evening and ending with lunch on Saturday.

CELL & WIFI ACCESS

Wifi is available on site, however we do ask that you be mindful of your use of electronic devices so as not to disturb others.
